Check your assessors qualifications are up to date!
BER's became mandatory for the sale or rental of existing dwellings on 1st January this
year. At the time there were no assessors qualified for existing dwellings! New building assessors
were permitted to perform BER's
on existing dwellings for a 12 month period.
In July the certification became available for existing dwellings. We're
proud to say that our assessors were among the first in the country obtain the latest
certification.
There are many other assessors yet to pass the latest exams. Without this they cannot continue after December 31st.
Always check any assessor you may
consider is properly qualified for the job!
